No more wire hangers!

With all Mommie Dearest jokes aside, I wanted to upcycle the plain wire hanger that accompanied my dry cleaning instead of just tossing it aside. So after stumbling upon a cute crocheted hanger cover on good 'ol Pinterest I thought I would take a stab at making my own.

I bent my hanger a bit then crocheted two sides using a shell stitch.
Once both sides were completed I crocheted them together with a different color and slipped the hanger inside. Voila!
I'm pretty sure there's a pattern for it online that's awfully similar, but I just like to wing it after seeing a picture. Can't wait to make more!

Livin' on the edge

When it comes to clothes I look for ways to revamp them into something prettier and unique.
Skirt could use an inch or two? Add a scalloped edging and voila! T-shirt shrunk and want a loose fit? Cut the sides and add crochet lace.

I found a cute dress at the Goodwill, but I'm not busty enough to keep it from falling a little. SO I added straps and crocheted with beads to go along with the polka dot print.

Was feeling a little tired of a plain tank so I chopped off the straps and added cute scallops.
